Why should you make money from HOME with affiliate marketing
There are many ways to make money from home, and one of the most popular methods is making money online—using a computer with an internet connection to do everything online, even creating a sustainable, long-term income stream.
If you search on Google, you’ll find numerous methods for making money online, each with its own guides. You might feel overwhelmed, wondering which method is the right one to start with and which won’t waste your time.
There are simple methods you may have heard of before that require little to no skills, such as:
- PTC (Paid to Click) – clicking ads to earn money
- Online surveys
- Typing captchas
- Reading promotional emails
- Installing software on your computer to run ads
However, just like making money in real life, methods that require little skill generate little income and come with high risks. If you’ve ever tried these methods, I’m 100% sure that at some point you’ve been scammed (either by getting your earnings withheld or by fraudulent networks).
You may earn very little, and if you want more income, you have to recruit people below you—similar to multi-level marketing (MLM). The more people you recruit, the more you earn.
In short, these are unreliable ways to make money online. They carry high risks and offer minimal returns. I strongly advise against participating, as it will only waste your time and effort.
Fortunately, there are many legitimate and high-potential opportunities, such as:

✔ T-Shirt Business (Teespring, Viralstyle, Teechip, etc.)
✔ PPV/PPC (YouTube Partner Program, Google Adsense)
✔ Dropshipping, FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon)
These methods have huge income potential depending on your skill level. The more skilled you are, the more you can earn-ranging from a few hundred to tens of thousands of dollars per month. Some people even make six figures monthly with passive income.
However, these methods are not easy and require persistence, passion, and a strong willingness to learn. You need to go step by step, treating it as a long-term process, to increase your chances of success.
If you’re aiming for sustainable income, you should focus on developing real skills instead of chasing after quick, short-term gains. I believe you don’t want to stop at just making a few dollars per month.

- Amazon’s Affiliate Program: Commissions range from 4% to 8%. Since Amazon sells physical products with high production costs, the commission rate is lower—but Amazon’s high traffic volume means a steady stream of potential buyers.
- ClickBank: Commissions range from 50% to 100% because the platform sells digital products that cost little to produce but don’t have the same massive traffic as Amazon.
In short, affiliate marketing is a business model where you promote products and earn commissions for every successful sale.
2. What is an Affiliate Network?
For example, if you want to promote products on Lazada (the Amazon of Southeast Asia), you might wonder:
- Will Lazada accurately track my commissions?
- Will they pay me on time?
- Are their reports and analytics reliable?
To address these concerns, affiliate networks exist as intermediaries to ensure fairness and transparency between affiliates (you) and advertisers (companies offering products for promotion).
Affiliate networks:
- Act as a bridge between you and advertisers.
- Ensure transparency and accurate tracking of commissions.
- Handle payments to affiliates on time.
When you sign up with an affiliate network, you gain access to multiple advertisers and products. Instead of managing separate affiliate accounts, you can track all your earnings in one place.
For beginners, using an affiliate network is highly recommended because it simplifies the process.
3. Trusted Affiliate Networks to Get Started
There are hundreds of affiliate networks, but not all of them are user-friendly, reliable, or suitable for beginners.
Instead of wasting time testing different networks, you can follow what experienced marketers are using:
✔ Internationally: Amazon Associates, Commission Junction, ShareASale, ClickBank, JVZoo, etc.

4. CPA Affiliate Marketing

Some programs pay you simply for generating leads—this is known as Cost Per Lead (CPL), whereas the traditional model is Cost Per Sale (CPS).
For example, if someone clicks your affiliate link and fills out a free consultation form, you still earn a commission without the customer needing to buy anything.
- CPS (Cost Per Sale): Earn commissions only when a sale is made.
- CPL (Cost Per Lead): Earn commissions when users submit their details, making conversions easier since they don’t need to spend money.

- SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
- Paid traffic (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Bing Ads, etc.)
- Content marketing
The best way to succeed? Start learning, take action, and be patient.
